Brain Busters teams have participated in the FIRST LEGO League Since 2013, reaching great success in regional qualifiers, state championships, and the world festival.

The Brain Busters’ motto is “We don’t bust our brains, we use our brains to bust problems.”  We are a FIRST LEGO League team made up of kids who love math, computer programming, engineering, and problem solving.  FLL is the hardest thing we’ve ever done, but we all love it.  We work hard, we play hard, and we embrace the FLL Core Values.  While we all like building and programming the robots, we were especially excited by the FLL projects.   We aren’t satisfied to just research and come up with our ideas.  We build small prototypes and working models that we can show at our FLL competitions and to experts in the field.  The process of brainstorming, compromising, designing, building, testing, failing, reworking, and finally producing a fully functional, full-scale prototype is what the Brain Busters is all about.

Over the five years in FLL, the Brain Busters earned over 20 awards, including those for robot performance, programming, strategy, and design. The team advanced to the State Championship 5 seasons in a row, and this past year advanced to the World Festival where we received the prestigious Judges Award. The team is also a proud recipient of the FLL/XPRIZE Global Innovation Award, competing with teams from 27 countries.
